4 ways to stay away from the "mom pouch" (and if you have one, how to keep it down)

Five months ago I gave birth to a healthy baby boy. I cannot explain how challenging and how much of a life changing experience it has been for us. I mean, the toughest part of this whole experience was the " 4th trimester". Yes there's a 4th trimester! Trying to recover and keep baby happy was certainly a juggle but, I had to make sure I kept in mind, " I've gotta stay healthy & snap back!".

Here is 4 things that have helped me stay away from my mom pouch:

1. Drink Water!

When I was in the hospital, I drank so much water it was crazy. I mean I went to the bathroom every hour to pee. Every time the baby eats, I downed a large cup of water! Mainly because breast feeding will make you thirsty! I also read somewhere drink water every time the baby eats. Its kind of a friendly reminder.

2. Oatmeal

The only thing I had time to fix is Oatmeal! I just boiled water in the kettle and poured it over oats. This helped me loose my tummy and produce breast milk.

3. Greens

For lunch, I steamed kale with grape seed oil, pepper, cayenne pepper and a little soy sauce. I had to make sure I was getting my nutrients, especially with breastfeeding. Every other day, I also added the greens on the go to my bottle water. It gives me energy that I a lack from waking up all night, increased my milk supply and gave me a easier bowel movement.

4. Light exercise

In the house, I would do exercises with holding the baby every other day for 30 mins. When I couldn't resist sitting in the house just feeding and changing diapers; me and the baby would take a stroll in the park for thirty minutes. The fresh air for me and him was definitely needed.

Out of everything I did during my 4th trimester, I can say that drinking water and greens on the go daily helped keep my tummy down. I highly recommend stay consistent with these four things and you will see you tummy slim down! Im offering my 40% off of the greens on the go to all my blog readers.
